The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) analyzes cloud IaaS providers and offerings for both public and private cloud. The goal is to offer insight into the cloud IaaS resources, the automated management of those resources, the management tools delivered as services, and the cloud software infrastructure services. When customers look for cloud IaaS, they generally fall into one of two IT sourcing patterns: Mode 1 and Mode 2.
